The Auburn Creed

During college fairs and high school visits I am often asked the question “What makes Auburn unique?” or “How is Auburn different from other universities?”

There are many similarities between us, however, there is something special that sets us apart from other institutions. Auburn has a creed.

The Auburn Creed, written in 1943 by George Petrie, is a timeless set of beliefs that embodies the Auburn spirit. This creed is something to live by, and Auburn students and alumni hold it dear to our hearts.

Our admissions team may not be together at the moment, but we still wanted to find a way to share the creed with you. Over the coming months we will post about each individual stanza and what it means to us. Our hope is to give you a better idea of what Auburn University is all about.
